Querencia Support
Reviewed 21 September 2026 against version 1.0 of the iOS app.
Querencia keeps a personal record of ulcerative colitis symptoms, medication doses and lab values, and compiles the interval between appointments into a summary you can hand to your clinician. It describes what you recorded. It does not diagnose, does not predict flares and does not recommend treatment, and it is not a substitute for your care team.
If you are unwell, this page is not the right place. Contact your clinical team, or your local emergency number. Querencia is not a monitoring service, nobody is watching your record, and filing an issue here does not reach anyone medical.
Getting help
Email: ariel30190@hotmail.com — best for anything you would rather not post publicly.
Public issue: open a support request. Issues are public and permanently visible.
Whichever you use, it helps to include your device, your iOS version, the app version, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Reproduction steps are useful but not required — a plain description is enough.
Please leave your record out of it. Do not send symptoms, medications, lab values or screenshots of real entries. Invented examples describe a problem just as well, and support requests should not become a second copy of your health information somewhere less protected than your phone. This applies to email as much as to public issues.
Querencia is maintained by one person. Reports are read and prioritised by whether they stop someone using their record, but there is no guaranteed response time and no service-level commitment.
For a privacy concern, use the privacy issue form. For something that blocks you when using assistive technology, use the accessibility barrier form. For a security vulnerability, use private reporting rather than any public form.
Common questions
Where is my data? On your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, and nowhere else. There is no account, no server and no sync; iCloud synchronisation is switched off in this version. Nothing you record is transmitted to the developer. The data mapping describes every store in the app and what is in it.
I am changing phones. How do I bring my record? You cannot, and you should know that before you switch. Your clinical records are deliberately excluded from device backups, so a restore will not carry them, and version 1 can export your record but cannot import one back. Use Reports → Privacy → Export complete record to keep a readable JSON copy for your own files, and treat the record on your old phone as the only copy until an import path exists. This tradeoff is a consequence of keeping the record out of backups; it is disclosed rather than discovered.
How do I get my record out? Reports → Privacy → Export complete record. It requires Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and produces a versioned JSON file containing everything the app has saved, which you then share wherever you choose. The exported file is readable by whatever receives it — Querencia does not encrypt it for the destination, so protect the copy yourself.
How do I delete everything? Reports → Privacy, then delete all local data. It requires authentication, erases the whole store, clears app-managed temporary exports, and returns the app to onboarding. If it fails part way it stays closed so you can retry rather than leaving a half-deleted record.
Can I fix something I logged wrong? Yes. Individual symptom entries, doses and lab results can each be edited or deleted from the Timeline and from a medication’s history, long after the fact. Correcting a day consolidates its earlier values so an old number cannot reappear in a report.
My reminders are not arriving. Check that notifications are allowed for Querencia in Settings; the app shows a prompt on Today when permission is missing. Reminders are ordinary local notifications scheduled by your phone — there is no push server — so Focus modes, Scheduled Summary and Low Power Mode all affect them. By default a reminder says only that a dose is due; medication names appear on your Lock Screen or paired devices only if you turn on detailed previews, which asks for authentication first.
Does it read Apple Health? Not in this version. Health import is switched off and the app requests no Health permission. If an earlier build imported daily summaries, they stay on your phone and you can export or remove them from Reports → Privacy.
Is there an Apple Watch app or a widget? Not in version 1. They are deliberately deferred rather than in progress, so that iPhone reminder reliability came first.
